HBD/Thermoid Inc. names new GM
Officials at HBD/Thermoid, Inc. (Bellefontaine, Ohio) announced July 16 that Michael V. Craven was promoted to general manager of the company’s power transmission belt manufacturing plant in Elgin, S.C. HBD/Thermoid, Inc. is a subsidiary of HBD Industries, Inc., one of the largest suppliers of industrial products in the United States. The HBD/Thermoid Elgin plant produces a full line of power transmission belt products — V-belts, synchronous timing belts, fractional horsepower replacement belts and metric belts — that powers virtually any type of drive.

His production and management skills, combined with the knowledge and expertise of our production personnel, will help us meet the ever-changing needs of our present and future customers.”
Before his promotion to general manager, Craven was the production manager at the Elgin manufacturing facility, where he directed numerous LSS projects and developed the plant’s ISO-certified quality system. Prior to that position, Craven held managerial positions in the automotive and textiles industries.
Craven has a B.S. in business administration from the Baptist College of Charleston (Charleston, S.C). He has also completed advanced course studies in Political and Computer Sciences at the University of Florida.
