Stihl Inc. announces new product manager

Stihl Inc. announced June 5 that it has promoted Dan Pherson to product manager. In his new position, Pherson will be responsible for managing the development of overall marketing programs for industrial products, backpack blowers, handheld blowers and related accessories, as well as coordinating the development of sales objectives and strategies while working with the marketing communications team on advertising and promotional programs.

Pherson has worked at Stihl Inc. for six years. Most recently, he served as project coordinator for power tools within the manufacturing/engineering department. In that role, Pherson coordinated the manufacturing startup of numerous new power tools, including the BR 350/BR 430 backpack blowers, BG 56 C-E/BG 86/BG 86 C-E handheld blowers, and SH 56 C-E/SH 86 C-E shredder vacuums/blowers.

“Dan’s previous internal experience as a project coordinator for manufacturing and engineering make him an excellent fit for this position as product manager,” said Steve Meriam, national sales manager for Stihl Inc.

Pherson received an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and recently completed his Masters of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.
