Miss Kansas 2013 to show off archery skills at GIE+EXPO
Theresa Vail, Miss Kansas 2013, was a Top 10 contestant at the recent Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, N.J.
As an active member of the Kansas National Guard and an avid bowhunter, Vail originally planned to show off her marksmanship in an archery demonstration during the talent portion of the pageant.
When pageant officials rejected her archery plans, Vail was forced to learn opera at the last minute. Even though she didn’t bring home the Miss America crown, Vail’s archery skills have been in high demand since the pageant concluded.
Now, she is bringing her archery demonstration to Louisville, Ky., during GIE+EXPO at the Kentucky Exposition Center. The demonstration will be held at the Grasshopper Mowers outdoor booth, 7542D, at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24.
