Toro updates Dingo TX 450, TX 550 compact utility loaders

Toro is reintroducing its Dingo TX 450 and TX 550 compact utility loaders with updated styling while keeping the walk-behind design that has been used in rental and contractor markets for more than two decades.
The company says the machines remain aimed at operators who need a compact option for tasks such as digging, hauling and grading without moving to larger equipment. Both models are small and lightweight enough to work in narrow areas and are designed to limit turf disturbance.
“Engineered for ease, the Toro Dingo TX 450 and TX 550 are intuitive to handle,” Kaitlyn Ingli, product marketing manager at Toro, said. “These machines are powerful tools whether you’re planting trees and shrubs, moving materials around or installing irrigation. The refreshed Dingos offer an uncomplicated solution for projects that might otherwise be too labor-intensive to tackle by hand.”
Notable features include an intuitive joystick control, a light footprint and a design built on the company’s long-running compact utility loader platform. Toro offers more than 35 attachments compatible with the units.
The updated TX 450 and TX 550 are expected to reach rental outlets nationwide and will be available at some Home Depot Rental locations. Toro plans to display the machines at the ARA Show, scheduled for March 2-4, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.
