RYOBI R1 Brushless Mower

The R1 riding lawn mower uses an 80V HP system consisting of three brushless motors, advanced electronics and lithium battery technology. According to the company, the system is designed to deliver power comparable to a 16-horsepower gas engine while eliminating the need for gas, oil, belts and engine maintenance.

The mower is designed to cut up to one acre on a single charge using the included 80V 14Ah battery, with an additional battery port allowing extended runtime when a second battery is used. The compact design is intended to allow navigation through narrow paths and fit through most standard gates.

The mower features a 30-inch, 14-gauge stamped steel deck with two blades, a seven-position deck height adjustment ranging from 1 to 4.5 inches and mulching, side discharge and optional bagging capability. Additional features include an integrated rear storage bed with a 100-pound hauling capacity, pin-hitch towing capability up to 250 pounds and a built-in digital display for monitoring mower and battery information. App connectivity is also included.

The R1 kit includes the mower, one 80V 14Ah lithium battery, charger, mulch plug, spare keys and operator documentation. The suggested retail price is $2,999. The mower will be available in kit form at select Home Depot stores and HomeDepot.com.

RYOBI ZR3 Zero Turn Mower

The ZR3 zero-turn mower uses a four-motor 80V HP system that the company says is equivalent to the output of a 25-horsepower gas engine. The mower is designed to cut up to two acres on a single charge using two included 80V 14Ah batteries, with an additional battery port for extended runtime.

The mower features a 42-inch, 12-gauge fabricated steel deck with quick-release removal, eliminating belts and pulleys. Deck height can be adjusted in 15 positions in quarter-inch increments from 1 to 4.5 inches. The unit includes steering assist technology, a digital display, app connectivity and multiple towing options using front and rear hitch configurations.

Additional features include a high-back adjustable seat, mowing speeds up to 7 mph, ECO mode for extended runtime and onboard charging through a standard 120V outlet.

The ZR3 kit includes the mower, two 80V 14Ah lithium batteries, charger, spare keys and documentation. The suggested retail price is $3,999. The mower will be sold in kit form exclusively through HomeDepot.com.
