Redexim introduces Turf-Tidy 5000 cut-and-collect machine
Redexim has introduced the Turf-Tidy 5000, a high-capacity cut-and-collect machine designed for maintaining large turf areas.
The Turf-Tidy 5000 has a 5,000-liter hopper capacity, or about 1,320 gallons, intended to reduce emptying frequency during operation. According to the company, the machine is built for cutting and collecting material over large surfaces, including sports facilities and racetracks.
Features include a dust-suppression cover designed to contain debris, a rear-mounted camera controlled from the operator’s seat and a high-tipping discharge system intended to empty material quickly. The unit also includes tool-free blade changes.
Global Commercial Director Curtis Allen said customer requests influenced the development of the larger-capacity model.
“We are pleased to be bringing the Turf-Tidy 5000 to market, having been asked by our customers for a higher capacity cut and collect unit which incorporates the very popular floating-head technology of the smaller Turf-Tidy 3000 along with the proven high-tip emptying feature,” Allen said.
“The Turf-Tidy 5000 will be well suited to large areas such as horse racetracks and AFL fields where hopper capacity is key. The development, testing and launch of another new product by Redexim is a testament to our continued drive to respond to the needs of customers with dependable turf care solutions,” he said.
The Turf-Tidy 5000 is designed for flail mowing, scarifying, dethatching and collecting. The machine requires a minimum of 45 horsepower while scarifying and 25 horsepower while sweeping. It has a working width of 1.8 meters, or 71 inches, and a maximum working depth of 30 millimeters, or 1.2 inches, while scarifying and 80 millimeters, or 3.1 inches, while mowing. The unit weighs 2,550 kilograms, or about 5,620 pounds.
