Toro launches RXC irrigation controller and Oasis management software

Toro has introduced the RXC controller, a residential irrigation system controller designed to pair with the new Oasis irrigation management software platform.

The RXC controller can operate as a standalone controller or connect to Oasis through an optional Wi-Fi module, allowing remote management from desktop and mobile devices.

According to Toro, the system includes a setup wizard that guides users through Wi-Fi connection, hardware onboarding and irrigation schedule programming. The software also includes spatial mapping tools that provide an aerial view of a property and allow irrigation zones to be activated or deactivated remotely.

The platform is designed to allow contractors to add customers to the system during setup, enabling homeowners to access and manage irrigation schedules through the Oasis mobile application.

Toro said the system provides client management capabilities that allow contractors to oversee multiple properties from a single interface. Features include the ability to place multiple controllers into rain delay mode and receive alerts and notifications related to system operation.

The RXC controller uses a modular design with a six-station base that can be expanded in four-station increments to support up to 22 stations. When connected to Oasis, the controller is EPA WaterSense compliant and includes features such as seasonal adjustments and grow-in programs intended to optimize water use.

When paired with Toro or Irritrol flow sensors, the controller can monitor water flow, detect overflow or underflow conditions and automatically shut down irrigation while sending notifications to users.

The indoor/outdoor controller features a backlit display, multilingual support and dial-based navigation. Toro said irrigation schedules remain stored in backup memory during Wi-Fi outages.
