Vanguard partners with Propane Power Systems on propane conversion kits

Vanguard has partnered with Propane Power Systems (PPS) to offer OEM-approved propane conversion kits for select Vanguard commercial engines.

The conversion kits are designed to allow equipment to transition from gasoline to propane fuel. The kits are EPA- and CARB-certified and are designed to maintain engine performance while addressing fuel and jobsite logistics.

Propane has a 108-octane rating and burns more cleanly than gasoline. According to Vanguard, propane can reduce carbon deposits by up to 80%, which can help extend engine life, keep spark plugs cleaner and reduce routine maintenance.

Propane also produces fewer pollutants than gasoline, which can allow crews to operate on jobsites with emissions restrictions. The kits use a quick-swap cylinder system that eliminates fuel spillage and reduces the need to leave a jobsite to refuel.
