Kubota redesigns BX subcompact tractor lineup

Kubota Tractor Corp. has introduced the BX90 Series, a redesigned lineup of five subcompact tractors featuring updates to loader capability, mower performance and operator controls.

The series includes the BX2190, BX2390 Deluxe, BX2690 Premium and two backhoe-equipped configurations, the BX2390S and BX2690S Premium. The tractors are designed for year-round property maintenance, including mowing, snow removal, gardening and material handling.

“The BX90 Series was designed around what today’s property owners value most: productivity, comfort, and choice, while building on the quality and versatility that has made Kubota a trusted leader in sub-compact tractors,” said Matt McDonald, senior product operations manager at Kubota Tractor Corp. “From intuitive side-by-side HST pedals to enhanced loader and mower systems, every improvement is intended to help customers accomplish more with ease. And with three distinct trim levels, customers can choose the BX90 that best fits their property, applications, and priorities. At the top of the lineup, the Premium model brings modern displays, programmable settings, and advanced controls traditionally associated with larger tractors, combining the proven BX experience with technology designed around how customers work.”

The redesigned LA355 and LA405 loaders offer lift capacities of up to 721 and 904 pounds, respectively. The BX2390 and BX2690 also feature increased hydraulic flow and pressure designed to improve cycle times and loader response at lower engine speeds. Additional updates include dual bucket cylinders, an improved rollback angle, protected hydraulic hose routing and a redesigned loader cradle intended to simplify attachment and removal.

The series offers new 54-inch and 60-inch welded-steel mower decks with pin-on or drive-over configurations. Available Swift-Mount auto coupling technology connects the driveline as the tractor moves over the mower deck.

All five models feature side-by-side hydrostatic transmission pedals designed to simplify forward and reverse operation and improve operator comfort.

The lineup includes three primary configurations:

  • BX2190: Rated at 19.3 gross horsepower, the entry-level model includes the LA355 loader and supports compatibility with 60-inch mower decks.
  • BX2390 Deluxe: Rated at 21.6 gross horsepower, the model is compatible with the LA405 loader and includes electronically controlled power takeoff engagement, three-point hitch position control, telescopic stabilizers and simplified mower-deck height adjustment.
  • BX2690 Premium: Rated at 23.9 gross horsepower, the model features an electronically controlled engine, full-color LCD display, programmable engine-speed settings and joystick-integrated throttle-up functionality.

The BX2390S and BX2690S Premium add the BT604 backhoe, a dedicated flip-up seat and an automatic stabilizer lock. The BX2690S Premium also includes the LA405 loader and enhanced hydraulic performance.
