Stanley Black & Decker reports 4% organic growth in Tools & Outdoor segment
Stanley Black & Decker reported third-quarter 2026 net sales of $3.7 billion, down 1% from the same period last year but up 4% on an organic basis.
The company’s Tools & Outdoor segment reported net sales of $3.336 billion, up 2% year over year. Organic revenue increased 4%, primarily driven by power tools and strength in U.S. retail and commercial and industrial channels.
Segment volume increased 7%, partially offset by a 3% decline in pricing and a 2% impact from the company’s previously announced transition to a licensing model for gas walk-behind outdoor products. Currency had no impact on sales.
North American sales increased 3% on a total basis and 6% organically. European sales declined 1% on a total basis but increased 1% organically. Sales in the rest of the world increased 2% on a total basis and declined 1% organically.
The Tools & Outdoor segment margin was 17%, up 520 basis points from the prior year. Adjusted segment margin was 17.6%, up 560 basis points. The improvement reflected net productivity gains and favorable product mix. Net tariff refunds contributed approximately 430 basis points to the segment margin.
Chris Nelson, Stanley Black & Decker president and CEO, said the company saw strong underlying performance in the Tools & Outdoor segment during the quarter, with continued strength in U.S. retail and commercial and industrial channels.
