Husqvarna names new North America president in leadership change

Husqvarna Group said Gent Simmons will become president of its North America business unit effective April 1, succeeding Andreas Rangert.

Simmons will be based in Charlotte and will lead the company’s Forest & Garden operations in North America.

Rangert will return to Sweden to take on the role of senior vice president of the handheld business portfolio unit within Husqvarna’s Forest & Garden division.

Simmons has more than 26 years of experience with the company. He most recently served as senior vice president of global consumer solutions unit core. During his tenure, he has held leadership roles in product development, product management, sales and marketing, including more than a decade in Sweden overseeing global product management and development across robotics, handheld equipment, wheeled products, accessories and digital solutions.

Husqvarna Group manufactures equipment for forest, park and garden management, as well as tools for the construction industry. The company, founded in 1689 and headquartered in Stockholm, operates in more than 100 countries.
