ALCO, Spectrum merge

American Lubricating Company (ALCO), Memphis, Tenn., announced July 31 that it will merge with Spectrum Lubricants Corporation, Selmer, Tenn.

ALCO will keep its sales offices in Memphis and maintain its formulas and brands while its production equipment, storage tanks and inventory have been sold and are moving to Spectrum’s facility in Selmer, where product will be blended, packaged, and shipped.

“The combined strength of these two companies will provide our customers with improved efficiencies, ISO-certified quality, shortened lead-times, and reduced costs, all welcome news in an extremely volatile and rapidly escalating oil market,” said ALCO President Chip Armstrong.
