Yanmar relocates North American headquarters to Georgia
Yanmar America Corporation recently moved its corporate headquarters from the Chicago area to Adairsville, Ga.
According to Yanmar America’s recently appointed COO, Tom Calhoun, this new complex will house manufacturing, engineering, marketing and administration activities supporting Yanmar’s North American businesses, including the construction, agricultural and marine divisions. The industrial engine and parts groups will continue to base their marketing, customer service and applications support operations in Buffalo Grove, Ill.
Calhoun also said that this consolidation of the corporate activities into Georgia will allow for more effective interfacing between engineering, manufacturing and customer support.
The Adairsville facility, situated an hour north of Atlanta, includes 480,000 square feet of production space and enough acreage that continued expansion can be readily achieved.
This corporate relocation coincides with the opening of the new Yanmar/Cub Cadet manufacturing facility at the same location, and further displays Yanmar’s commitment to the North American market.
Yanmar is a global manufacturer of diesel engines and diesel-powered equipment for the construction, industrial, agricultural and marine markets. Yanmar America’s headquarters is located at 101 International Parkway, Adairsville, GA 30103.
