Omaha distributor celebrates 40th anniversary at annual dealer appreciation meeting
Enterprises Inc./Don Long & Sons, an outdoor power equipment distributor headquartered in Omaha, Neb., recently celebrated its 40th anniversary at its annual dealer appreciation meeting. More than 130 were in attendance as dealers from Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado participated in the two-day event at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Omaha, Neb.
In 1969, Don Long pioneered the Ram zero-turning-radius riding mower in the state of Iowa. K.O. Enterprises Inc. expanded its territory representing Dixon to include Nebraska and Colorado, and recently added Maruyama.
This three-generation company honored 25-plus-year employees and dealer associates and their sales achievements. Sales manager Tony Leyden and parts manager/bookkeeper Jack Beaty were recognized for the outstanding service to the company. Dealer associates included Stanton Service Shop, Yohe Farm Supply, Ferguson Equipment, Dean’s Repair, Derald’s Garage, Hatten Electric, Ford’s Repair, and Hidy’s Farm Service. Holtz Service received the top sales and 25-year associate award for the state of Iowa. Gretna Small Engine received the top sales award for Nebraska. Havranek Supply, Hansel Ag Repair, and Independent Repair were also recognized for outstanding sales achievement.
Factory personnel representing Dixon and Maruyama introduced and showcased their model year 2009 lineup. Branson, Mo., and Colorado cabin mountain trips were among the many incentives made available to the dealer network. Five-star facilities, delicious food and professional comedic entertainment were enjoyed by one and all courtesy of Enterprises Inc./Don Long & Sons.
