Ferris creates new zero-turn category with introduction of Evolution

Ferris recently created its own compact zero-turn (CZT) mower category with the introduction of the Evolution. This CZT’s patent-pending operator forward design places the operator in the most ideal ergonomic position for all-day mowing. Its overall compact, low stance provides the operator with excellent visibility and allows for mowing in tight places, and its footprint is smaller than a commercial walk-behind of similar deck width. Other features include a 19-hp. Kawasaki KAI engine for 8-mph ground speed and 2.9-acre-per-hour mowing, individual Hydro-Gear pumps and wheel motors, 36- or 48-inch deck with hand-operated lift, 5-gallon fuel tank and greaseable aluminum spindles.
