PFERD introduces improved version of Chain Sharp
The original PFERD Chain Sharp may have become a very popular hand tool for sharpening chain saws at the job site, but the new version, Chain Sharp CS-X, makes sharpening in the field even easier. While the original version allows users to sharpen chain teeth and correct depth gauge height in one operation, the new Chain Sharp CS-X does all that but eliminates the need to change the file positions in the tool when switching from filing right-facing teeth to left-facing ones. This time-consuming action is no longer necessary because the improved design, which features 2 chain saw files and the flat depth gauge file, allowing users to simply turn the tool around to file the opposite angle teeth. Once more, the design permits easy, quick changing of files, when needed, through an opening in its side, plus it also prevents any incorrect file fitting. And because it only takes a few strokes of the Chain Sharp CS-X, sharpening is much easier on the tooth metal than mechanical sharpening. This gives chains a longer service life. The Chain Sharp CS-X comes in a self-service pouch and has imprinted arrows and symbols to guide saw-tooth filing direction. It is available in 4 file sharpener diameter sizes: 5/32-, 3/16-, 13/64- and 7/32-inch to fit all popular saw-chain teeth.
