Show Preview: GIE+EXPO

The Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO) will be held October 29-31, 2010 in Louisville, Ky. It is your chance to see what the industry will be buzzing about. With 500 exhibiting companies covering about 500,000 square feet inside the Kentucky Exposition Center and nearly 100 of those companies providing two days of outdoor demonstrations, GIE+EXPO is the industry’s largest showcase for outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden products, light construction and landscape equipment, as well as hardscape products.

The 19-acre outdoor demonstration area at GIE+EXPO is open the first two days of the show. See the new products indoors; then try them for yourself and compare them with the competition in the demo park.

During GIE+EXPO, the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) will once again present the Green Industry Conference (GIC), a program designed to focus on education and networking. PLANET has assembled a roster of experts who will provide attendees with information, ideas and contacts. Below you will find an overview of the GIC schedule.

Also, this year marks the first time that the Hardscape North America conference and show will be held concurrently with GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 28-30. HNA is for installers, owners, foremen, supervisors and key laborers. Its focus is to bring top-notch education — including certification courses, products and technology — to contractors and installers who build segmental pavements and segmental retaining walls. Indoor and outdoor exhibits displaying state-of-the-art tools and products will be featured, offering the latest technology for contractors. For the list of HNA educational sessions, see below.

(Note: most educational sessions run concurrent with other sessions.)
