Legend to celebrate birthday with free concert at GIE+EXPO

 The Davisson BrothersCharlie Daniels will celebrate a milestone birthday in grand style at 4th Street Live in downtown Louisville during GIE+EXPO 2011. Daniels is set to perform on Friday, Oct. 28, at 9 p.m. Concert admission is free.


Daniels is a Grammy Award-winning country music and southern rock legend. He is most known for his No. 1 country hit, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008, solidifying his place in country music history.


The Davisson Brothers will open for Daniels, taking the stage at 8 p.m. They are a country music group whose self-titled debut album charted on the Top Country Albums. Concert goers will recognize their country hit, “Foot Stompin.”


GIE+EXPO is set for Thursday, Oct. 27, through Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky. The international trade show is sponsored by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), and the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS). Hardscape North America will be co-located on the show floor on the same dates.
