Paladin names VP of engineering

Paladin Construction Group has appointed Paul Burton to the new leadership role of vice president of engineering. In this new position, Burton will focus on research and development, new products, configure-to-order/engineer-to-order support, and improving project launch accuracy to continue to build upon Paladin’s reputation for manufacturing high-quality attachments. He will be responsible for directing and managing engineering resources for Bradco, CP, FFC, Harley, JRB, McMillen and Sweepster brands and at its four manufacturing locations.

Burton possesses more than 30 years of experience applying knowledge and skills related to engineering, manufacturing and design. In 1978, he began his experience working with Caterpillar Tractor Company (CAT), where he also graduated from CAT’s management training program. In 1982, Burton started with Paladin at FFC, where his duties ranged from operating manufacturing machinery to eventually overseeing all of production and engineering as operations manager. Most recently, he served as director of engineering for Paladin Light Construction, where his team was instrumental in developing Paladin’s New Product Development System in conjunction with Paladin Heavy Construction.

“Paul has excelled at every level of engineering,” said Mike Flannery, vice president and general manager of Paladin Construction Group. “He can operate the machines our customers use and knows what they look for in a good attachment. His ability to translate his experience in the field into knowledge for the research and development of new and existing products will help us manufacture the best attachments for our customers.”

Paladin Construction Group manufactures attachments throughout North America for the construction, aggregate, agriculture, landscaping, land-clearing, recycle, mining, demolition, utility, aviation and municipal market segments.
