Snapper offers affordability and more with new tractors, zero turns

In an effort to attract homeowners seeking to enter the lawn tractor market for the first time, Snapper unveiled the rugged, dependable SPX lawn tractor lineup at an affordable price at GIE+EXPO 2011.


Starting at $1,799, the Snapper SPX lawn tractor lineup boasts Briggs & Stratton Professional Series engines with 20-gross-hp. single-cylinder and 22- and 23-gross-hp. V-Twin options available. The SPX frame features 12-gauge steel, a cast-iron front axle and 14-inch turning radius. With hydrostatic foot control pedals, the Snapper SPX drives like a car. Intelligently designed controls include cruise control and a seven-position height-of-cut lever. Contemporary styling with a dramatic front grille profile and LED headlights completes the package.


In addition to the SPX lawn tractor lineup, Snapper introduced its NXT lawn tractor ($2,599-$2,999) and YT400 high-performance yard tractor ($5,499 typical retail price with tractor and mower deck). It also expanded its residential zero-turn mower lineup to eight models, ranging from $2,499 to $5,199, with the new 200Z and 300Z and their starting retail prices of $2,599 and $3,699, respectively.
