Honda Power Equipment announces partnership with NBA’s Atlanta Hawks
Honda Power Equipment, a division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and marketer of a complete range of outdoor power equipment, announced Aug. 14 that it has formed a new partnership with the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Honda is providing the Atlanta Hawks with two of its Super Quiet Series portable generator models — the EU2000i and the EU6500i — both offering durable, dependable power. These generators will power outdoor mobile equipment at 30 different basketball and community outreach programs, collectively expected to reach more than 300,000 participants. Scheduled Hawks event participation includes the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Fiesta Atlanta, Georgia Publix Marathon, Hawks Paint the Town, Hawks Playoff Plaza, Hunger Walk, and Taste of Marietta. In addition, at four selected events, Honda representatives will display the company’s full line of generators and be available to provide product information and answer questions.
“Our new alliance with the Atlanta Hawks is powerful on a number of levels,” said Scott Conner, vice president, Honda Power Equipment. “It not only supports the Honda Power Equipment marketing strategy targeting diverse communities with a top-of-mind NBA awareness, but it also affords our company tremendous exposure for products that provide reliable and quiet backup power for a wide variety of applications. Honda Power Equipment welcomes the opportunities of working with such a dynamic organization.”
Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of generators for commercial and consumer applications. Lightweight, compact Honda generators produce between 1,000 and 10,000 watts of power, providing smooth, dependable power for recreation, construction, rental and emergency use. Honda’s Super Quiet Series generators are inverter-equipped, lightweight models with ultra-low noise. Any of these models, depending on power requirements, are good choices for home backup or public events.
“Investing in the community and having a presence at events around the city are fundamental pieces of the Atlanta Hawks brand, and we are happy to partner with Honda Power Equipment to enhance the overall experience that we can provide to our fans and event attendees,” said Ailey Penningroth, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena.
