Power Solutions International’s new .97L turbo engine
Power Solutions International (PSI) showcased the all-new .97-liter turbo engine at GIE+EXPO 2012. Designed for the commercial lawn and garden, power generation and industrial markets, the .97L turbo is a 4-cylinder, electronic-fuel-injected gas engine that produces nearly 25 percent more power and torque, achieving 37 horsepower and 62 foot pounds of torque at 3,000 rpm. PSI’s .97L turbo provides diesel-level power and performance with low emissions and reduced noise, harshness and vibration (NHV) characteristics, eliminating the cost and complexity of Tier 4 emission compliance and the compromises of air-cooled alternatives. Like PSI’s entire engine portfolio, the .97L engine can be equipped to run on gasoline, natural gas, liquid propane and dual fuels.
