OPEI offers free educational sessions at GIE+EXPO
The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) is offering three free and open-to-the-public educational sessions at the 2013 Green Industry & Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO), which will take place Wednesday, Oct. 23, through Friday, Oct. 25, at Louisville’s Kentucky Exposition Center.
Virgil Huhmann, the committee chair of the Standard Committee for B71.10, will conduct a seminar on the just released revision of ANSI/OPEI B71.10, Standard for Gasoline Fuel Systems – Performance Specifications and Test Procedures. Where/When: Thursday, 8 a.m. in Room C202.
Jay Howell, Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) deputy executive director, Safety Operations, will provide a presentation on CPSC-related topics of interest to the outdoor power equipment industry. He will also speak to general trends and projects likely to be initiated in the next few years by CPSC that may impact the industry. Where/When: Friday, 10 a.m. in Room C202.
Byron Bunker, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) director, Compliance Division, Office of Transportation, will provide a presentation on EPA topics of interest and importance to the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry. Where/When: Friday, 1 p.m. in Room C202.
Time will be available for participant Q&A at each of these sessions.
