John Deere announces Z370R Electric ZTrak zero-turn mower

John Deere is launching its first all-electric zero-turn mower: the Z370R Electric ZTrak.

At last fall’s Equip Expo, John Deere announced that it was pursuing battery-electric technology because of growing customer demand and would offer an electric option in each turf and compact utility product category by 2026, as OPE Business reported in our Equip Expo recap.

Specs on the upcoming Z370R Electric ZTrak (sourced from the John Deere website) include:

  • Battery: One 58 V lithium-ion, 3.2 kilowatt-hour, sealed; meets IP66 rating
  • Battery provides up to 2 acres of lawn mowing action per charge
  • Charger: On board, 700 Watts, 120 V input
  • Frame: Heavy-duty 2.5-in. x 2-in. front, and 1.5-in. x 2-in. side tubing
  • Forward speed: 0-7 mph
  • Front caster tires: 11 x 6-5; drive tires: 18 x 8.5-8                                            
  • Seat back height: High back with armrests, 20 in.
  • Width of cut: Accel Deep mower deck, 42 in., 12-gauge
  • Mulching system: Optional MulchControl attachment
  • Slope operating limit: 13 degrees; 10 degrees with Material Collection System

Deere notes that the Z370R Electric ZTrak is now available for pre-order; it carries a starting price of $6,399.
