Oso Adds Distributor, Introduces Power Bank

Oso Electric Equipment, a manufacturer of commercial electric lawn mowers, announced it has inked a strategic partnership with WCS Distributing, a distributor and supplier of landscape products based in Southern California. The manufacturer says the collaboration will redefine its market reach and further solidify its standing in the industry.

WCS claims a network serving more than 350 dealers across multiple states, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. The partnership with WCS signifies a pivotal moment for Oso as it marks a significant expansion beyond its current market presence in California and Texas.

“This partnership with WCS marks a significant milestone for Oso. We’re thrilled to join forces with WCS, leveraging their robust distribution network to introduce our innovative products to a wider audience,” said Alejandro Dominguez, VP of sales at Oso.

WCS has a 32,800 sq. ft. facility in San Bernardino, Calif. Steve Sykes, the owner of WCS, stated his intention to grow the Oso brand in a similar manner as WCS grew the Snapper, Gravely and Ariens brands over the past years. “The Oso electric mower is the best investment any landscaper can make,” said Sykes. “The return on investment is less than one year compared to a gas-powered mower.”

With this strategic collaboration, Oso aims to reinforce its commitment to sustainable landscaping solutions while establishing a strong presence across diverse markets.

Oso Roadshow

Oso plans a Roadshow that it says will bring this collaboration comes to life in the first quarter of 2024. This strategic initiative involves visiting all partnered dealers, presenting live demonstrations, and showcasing the features of Oso’s flagship mower. Attendees will have the chance to engage with experts from both WCS and Oso, gaining valuable insights into the benefits and functionalities of Oso mowers.

The Oso 21-Inch Commercial Electric Lawn Mower is a smart mower with 4G LTE connectivity. It incorporates GPS tracking for enhanced route efficiency, empowering commercial users to optimize a crew’s productivity. Late in 2023, Oso announced a power bank called the Plug2Go for on-the-road charging of handheld devices. It’s a power bank and Oso 3-battery charger all in one. With a 120V/20A output, 4.8KWh/100Ah capacity, Plug2Go can cover, said Oso, almost all of the mobile charging needs of landscapers. It will be available in Q2 2024.
