Exmark partners with Echo Canada

Exmark, a Beatrice, Neb.-based manufacturer of mowers for lawn care professionals, recently announced a strategic partnership with the Canada Division of Echo. This partnership opens the door for Exmark to distribute products to more than 800 dealers in the Canadian marketplace.

“The partnership with Echo was a no-brainer,” said Exmark President Rick Olson. “There are many similarities between our companies, our approach to service, and our relentless commitment to quality. We couldn’t be happier about this partnership.”

Echo Power Equipment (Canada) will begin to service Exmark dealers as of Nov. 1, 2011, with the full fleet in place no later than January 2012.

“We are excited to be associated with Exmark,” said Ed Zynomirski, president of Echo Power Equipment Canada. “They are a first-rate organization that shares many of the same corporate values as our company, including Value, Integrity and Performance (VIP). With their industry-leading products and our strength of distribution across Canada, we look forward to gaining a greater share of the commercial landscape market.”

The Canadian Division of Echo began as a service parts and accessory unit and quickly expanded into a small distribution and shipping warehouse based in Brampton, Ontario. Echo Power Equipment (Canada) was established in 1985 to support a market for Echo power tools that was beginning to spread from coast to coast.

Echo’s Canadian operations moved to London, Ontario, in 1989, and began dealer direct sales in 1990. Three separate expansions of its warehouse facilities now supply the full lineup of Echo power equipment plus a wide range of specialized commercial and pro gardening tools. Echo Power Equipment (Canada) currently operates with locations in Calgary, Alberta; Lachute, Quebec; and their head office in London, Ontario.
