Subaru launches SX Snow Power Series engines

Subaru’s new SX Snow Power Series engines are designed specifically for snow throwers. Available in 6-, 7- and 9.5-hp. models, this series boasts high-performance chain-driven overhead cam technology and other special features to provide patented Real Power. The chain-driven OHC technology allows the intake and exhaust valves to be positioned for optimum engine performance. This offers lower resistance for the air/fuel mixture flow. Designed with a highly efficient pent-roof-type combustion chamber, the SX engines are able to use a high compression ratio, producing higher power and torque while limiting exhaust emissions and fuel consumption.
