Maruyama co-sponsors dealer incentive trip to Costa Rica
Maruyama U.S., Inc. recently co-sponsored a dealer incentive trip to the Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort on Costa Rica’s extraordinary North Pacific Riviera. Corona, Calif.-based distributor, Tru-Power, Inc., organized the event for its Maruyama dealer base located in California-south, Arizona, and Nevada.
“On behalf of the participating dealers, we sincerely thank Maruyama for co-sponsoring this incredible trip,” said Jack Ball, sales manager, for Tru-Power, Inc. “During our farewell banquet, many dealers came up to me and asked how many Maruyama products they need to buy to qualify for the next incentive trip. ‘We want to go again,’ they all said.”
The 57 participants were presented with a host of activities at the all-inclusive resort such as horseback riding, golf on the Robert Trent Jones championship course, snorkeling, swimming, sailing, sports fishing, canopy zip line tours, and jungle river cruise. However, out of all activities, the highlight of the trip was an impromptu water polo game between Tru-Power dealers and a tour group from Russia. “It was a valiant effort, but ultimately the dealers lost the match. They each deserve a silver medal though!” said Ball.
Mark Dyos, operations manager, Maruyama U.S., Inc., added, “Outstanding. That’s how best to describe the efforts Tru-Power did to launch and execute this incentive program with their dealers. Everyone truly enjoyed themselves, and I was glad to see many dealers networking and discussing best business practices. I received many positive comments on how Maruyama can improve and become more of a force in the outdoor power equipment industry.”
