Louisville Housing Bureau opens hotel reservations early for GIE+EXPO 2020
Attendees who want to get a jump-start on travel plans for GIE+EXPO 2020, can now make hotel reservations through Louisville’s Housing Bureau. Pre-arranged rates are listed on the show’s website: www.gie-expo.com/travel/hotels. Anyone who books through the bureau will be entered to win prizes ranging from a Louisville gift basket or personalized bourbon bottles to a complimentary hotel room during the show.
GIE+EXPO 2020 is set for October 21-23 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Plans are in the works for new features and real-world education on hot industry topics such as hands-on drone training, an equipment test track and other education with the latest in technology and robotic mowers. These new opportunities, combined with strong exhibit sales, are early indicators that the industry’s largest annual event will again be one for the record books.
Louisville boasts more than 100 hotels in the metro area, including nearly 6,000 rooms downtown and more than 4,000 in close proximity to the Kentucky Exposition Center and airport (SDF). With direct flights from more than 20 cities, including locations on both coasts, the airport is serviced by nearly every major and regional airline and is conveniently located across the interstate from the expo center.
“Louisville is a great city – easy to get to, easy to get around, and its hotel scene is booming. But they fill quickly and the show keeps getting bigger,” said Kris Kiser, managing partner of GIE+EXPO and OPEI President. “The new technology-centered education and a strong industry outlook will likely fuel even more growth so it’s more important than ever for attendees to plan ahead and book both hotels and flights early.”
