John Deere dealerships to sell EGO battery products

John-Deere-EGO-Chervon

John Deere has announced a new strategic partnership with EGO and parent company Chervon that will enable EGO-branded battery products to be sold through John Deere dealers. As part of the agreement, EGO’s complete range of mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, chainsaws and snow blowers will be available at John Deere dealers in the United States and Canada starting in the fall of 2023. In addition, the agreement calls for the two companies to collaborate on future product development.

“Simplifying the landscape management of properties is what drives us every day. We seek to provide our customers with a broad range of tools, which will now include a battery ecosystem that can be extended into a variety of property care solutions,” says David Thorne, vice president, John Deere turf and compact utility business.

“Partnering with a leading electric solutions brand, like EGO, to provide top-quality battery-powered equipment will propel both John Deere and Chervon into a stronger market position to serve our evolving customers,” Thorne continues.

Mike Clancy, CEO at Chervon North America, states: “We are thrilled to join forces with John Deere to bring our best-in-class battery platform to even more customers. This partnership represents a significant milestone in our commitment to revolutionize the outdoor power equipment industry and provide sustainable solutions without compromise to consumers all across North America.”

Chervon, with headquarters in China, comprises two business units: Outdoor Power Equipment and Power Tools. Its OPE roster includes mowers, blowers, chainsaws, string trimmers, batteries/power units and more. In April, EGO introduced a new 42-inch Z6 ZTR with E-Steer technology, which can cut up to 2.5 acres on a single charge with its four included 56V 12.0Ah Arc Lithium batteries. Chervon’s brands include EGO, Flex, Skil, Devon and X-Tron. Chervon North America is based in Naperville, Illinois.
