Same Store Sales Report, January 2024
We publish these same-store sales reports monthly to show both a snapshot and a trendline of retail sales activity at OPE dealerships in North America. For January 2024, we see a mixed picture of sales and service activity.
On the strength of whole goods sales in the region, dealers in the West region of the U.S. showed best results year-over-year for January, as was also true in the month of December. Whole goods sales there were up 14 percent, again making up for declines in both service and parts sales. The Midwest, Northeast and Canada enjoyed strong service sales in January compared to the previous year. See the table below, and specific breakouts further down this page.
