DICA to show new ground protection mats
DICA, manufacturer of outrigger and crane pads for utility, construction and tree care companies, will show its new ground-protection mats at the upcoming Equip Expo event. The MaxiTrack and EnviroMat mats provide temporary access for wheeled or tracked equipment.
The 1 in. thick MaxiTrack mats measure 3 ft. x 6 ft. and weigh just 88 lbs., making them light enough to be placed by hand. A crew of four can install more than 1,000 sq ft in less than an hour. DICA said this is the only matting system in its class that overlaps and bolts together. When bolted together, the 4 in. overlapping flanges enable the individual mats to function as a single unit, limiting seepage, and providing an incredibly stable platform.
