SavATree completes large-scale holiday lighting project at NORAD headquarters
SavATree used its Colorado Springs-based landscape and arbor care crews to complete a large-scale commercial holiday lighting and décor installation at the headquarters of the North American Aerospace Defense Command as part of the 70th anniversary of the NORAD Tracks Santa.
The project included the installation of 10 decorated spruce trees and exterior lighting displays at the NORAD call center building, NORCOM Headquarters and multiple entry and exit points. Interior décor elements were also added throughout the call center to support the annual Christmas Eve operation, which relies on thousands of volunteers to track Santa’s journey around the world in real time.
SavATree’s involvement highlights the growing role of holiday lighting as a seasonal service extension for landscape companies, particularly in commercial and institutional settings. The work was completed by trained field crews using professional-grade equipment typically deployed for tree care and landscape maintenance projects.
In addition to tree, shrub and lawn care services, SavATree offers custom holiday lighting design, installation and takedown for residential and commercial properties. The company has expanded its service in recent years as contractors look to keep crews active and generate revenue during the winter months.
NORAD Tracks Santa marks its 70th year in 2025. The program provides live updates through its website, mobile app, social media platforms and a dedicated hotline each Christmas Eve.
SavATree operates nationwide with certified arborists and field specialists providing tree care, plant health care and landscape services for residential and commercial clients.
