Howard’s Lawn & Garden becomes Russo Outdoor Power Plus in Lebanon
Howard’s Lawn & Garden has transitioned to Russo Outdoor Power Plus, marking a change for a business that has served northwest Indianapolis and Lebanon since 1981.
Founded June 21, 1981, by Howard, Irvin and Roy Hosfield, the business operated with the mission: “Sell the Best Power Equipment available and to service what we sell.” Over more than four decades, the Hosfield family built a customer base in the region through service work and long-term relationships.
Howard and Karen Hosfield are retiring. Their son, Kipp Hosfield, will remain with the business.
“Howard’s Lawn & Garden represents everything we value—family ownership, commitment to service, and genuine relationships with customers,” said Michael Kolowski of Russo. “We’re honored that the Hosfield family has entrusted us to carry forward the legacy they built, and we’re excited that Kipp will continue serving Indianapolis alongside the team there.”
The transition includes continued sales of Toro, STIHL and Hustler equipment, along with expanded parts availability, technical support and fulfillment resources through Russo’s Midwest network.
Service offerings include repairs for multiple equipment brands, pickup and delivery, financing options and account support for commercial and municipal customers.
“The Hosfield family built something special over the past 40+ years,” Kolowski said. “Our commitment is to preserve that hometown service while providing customers with even greater selection and support.”
Russo has operated as an outdoor power equipment and landscape supply dealer in the Midwest since 1970, with locations across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin.
