K&D Landscaping to host annual golf tournament benefiting CASA of Monterey County
K&D Landscaping will host the third annual K&D Classic golf tournament Aug. 28 at Seascape Golf Club in Aptos, with proceeds benefiting CASA of Monterey County.
According to organizers, proceeds from the event will support CASA of Monterey County, a nonprofit organization that trains volunteers to advocate for children involved in the foster care and juvenile justice systems.
“K&D has been rooted in this community for 40 years, and that comes with a responsibility to show up for it,” said Tony Battistella, Director of Growth at K&D Landscaping. “CASA does work that most people never see. They walk into courtrooms and sit beside kids who have nobody else. If we can use a day on the golf course to put real money behind that mission, that is exactly what we should be doing.”
The tournament coincides with K&D Landscaping’s 40th anniversary and will feature an 1980s-themed format. Participants are encouraged to wear period-inspired attire, with prizes planned for individual and team costumes.
Organizers said the tournament will include a $100,000 hole-in-one challenge on a designated hole. Additional contests are scheduled for longest drive, closest to the pin and fastest round.
The event will be played as a shotgun scramble. Registration includes lunch, dinner, swag bags and drink tickets.
CASA of Monterey County provides trained volunteer advocates who work with children and youth involved in court proceedings related to foster care and juvenile justice matters.
