John Deere refines Z700 ZTrak mower lineup

Offering a newly enhanced, capable and rugged design, John Deere introduces its updated Z700 ZTrak mid-duty commercial mowers lineup. The new models feature proven commercial-grade components, refreshed styling and expanded warranty coverage. In addition, the Z700 models are designed to offer more capabilities and premium features than typically available on a model of its size, including upgraded engines, tires, mower decks, and operator stations. The refreshed lineup includes both M- and R-Series models, including the Z720M, Z740M, Z740R and Z760R machines.
“As our customers’ needs continue to evolve, we’re focused on offering solutions across our commercial mowing portfolio that help them get the job done,” said Luke Gribble, marketing manager, John Deere. “The refreshed Z700 lineup delivers the combination of capability, durability and value our customers have been asking for in a mid-duty mower.”
Built around the proven Z700 platform, the refreshed lineup incorporates key features found across John Deere commercial mowing equipment. This includes the commercial-grade 7-Iron PRO mower deck across all models; a proven deck design also featured on the Z900 lineup. Designed with a 7-gauge deck shell, reinforced trim edge and discharge chute, durable cast aluminum spindle design and improved anti-scalp wheel placement, the deck is engineered to deliver exceptional cut quality while standing up to the demands of daily commercial mowing jobsites.
Further enhancing commercial-grade performance, the Z700 lineup features Kawasaki FX engines paired with upgraded Hydro-Gear transmissions designed to deliver increased ground speeds and productivity on the job. M-Series models reach speeds up to 9.5 mph, while R-Series models reach up to 10pmh, helping operators cover more ground efficiently across demanding mowing applications.
To further support those customers, R-Series models now feature expanded warranty coverage of four years or 1,200 hours, reinforcing the commitment by John Deere to offer long-term durability and customer confidence.
The updated John Deere Z700 ZTrak Commercial Mowers will be available through authorized John Deere dealers beginning in October 2026. Customers can also get a first look at the refreshed Z700 lineup at Equip Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky.
