Stihl shows a range of new equipment at Equip Expo
At Equip Expo in Louisville, Stihl showed a wide range of new products, from residential use to commercial, battery powered to gas. Here are some of the details. You can also check our interview with Stihl CEO Chris Keffer.
AZA 700 series mowers
Powered by a 24-kWh lithium-ion battery, the Stihl AZA 700 Series includes the AZA 748, AZA 752, and STIHL AZA 760 with cutting deck widths of 48 in., 52 in., and 60 in. Stihl said they deliver a run time of up to 8 hours on a single charge and have the ability to reach speeds up to 14 mph. Each mower converts from standing to walk-behind mode, giving operators total control over how they work. The HMI (human machine interface) dashboard touchscreen display lets users to access real-time data, and LTE-mobile connectivity with GPS, these mowers offer remote communication and next-level tech capabilities.

Backpack blowers
Designed for the pro, Stihl designed these blowers to clear large spaces. A variable trigger, adjustable tubes, and cruise control provide a fully customizable experience. Versatile ECO and boost modes allow for more run time and greater power. Both models weigh just 31.97 pounds when equipped with two AP batteries. Each blower features a 3-point harness for ergonomic support and is designed to maintain constant power output. Users can choose from four operational speeds – ECO mode, mid-level, full performance, and boost mode – for a tailored performance experience.

RM gas-powered walk-behind mowers
Built for homeowners with small yards, the RM 453 T and RM 453 V models deliver reliable power, cutting-edge features, and enhanced convenience. Both are powered by the Stihl EVC 300 engine.
The RM 453 V is equipped with a Vario speed drive, enabling users to select ground speed, allowing adjustments to match their pace and changing mowing conditions. The RM 453 T features a single-speed drive system, for a consistent, steady pace while mowing.

RMA battery-powered walk-behind mowers
Whether it’s the variable-speed self-propulsion or the superior grass collection system, RMA 4 series mowers are built to provide a high-performance, personalized experience.
The RMA 448 V
Has adjustable speed settings to reduce user fatigue. A 13.7-gallon polymer grass bag optimizes airflow and reduces dust. Mulching, catching, side or rear discharging of grass for customizable mowing. A built-in mulch flap eliminates the need for a separate plug.
The RMA 453 PV has easy-running wheels with traction pattern for ease of maneuvering and line holding during mowing. The mower’s multi-blade can shred grass into fine pieces for a cleaner cut. Sequential discharge allows users to enjoy the run time of two onboard batteries with no switching.
The RMA 448 V and RMA 453 PV maintain full power until the battery is fully depleted. Simply push the button and pull the switch lever to begin mowing. Super-soft, rubber-textured handle for extended use.
