Kawasaki Engines and Power Products names new district manager in Northeast
Kawasaki Engines and Power Products, a division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., announced Jan. 13 that it hired Russell Corey as district manager (DM) for a portion of the Northeast United States. He will be responsible for the district field sales in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, as well as New York’s Long Island.
Corey brings an extensive landscape industry background to the DM position, which focuses on dealer support in both the handheld power products and engine categories. Most recently, he served in landscape design, product management and sales for a company in Durham, N.C.
The new Kawasaki DM, who graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in landscape design, has also garnered significant experience in project management, customer relations and sales program implementation.
According to Kawasaki’s Karen Howard, national sales manager, dealer channel, “Russell will adapt very quickly to our system and provide extensive hands-on experience in a core segment of our business that is undergoing significant growth.”
Kawasaki’s DMs serve as the primary conduit between the company and its large network of authorized dealers. The position offers in-depth support with program management, product ordering, and promotional activities to dealers as they develop their individual markets.
An avid outdoors enthusiast, Corey plays golf and tennis, rides off-road, and is a devoted angler during his free time. He will make his home in Conshohocken, Pa., just outside of Philadelphia.
Kawasaki Engines and Power Products distributes gasoline engines and professional handheld power products for landscape, industrial, and consumer markets. The division is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., and services customers through its network of more than 8,000 independent dealers throughout the United States and Canada.
