Briggs & Stratton announces new corporate officer

Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced that its board of directors elected Edward Wajda, vice president & general manager, international, as a corporate officer at its Jan. 26 meeting.

Wajda came to Briggs & Stratton in 2008 with more than 15 years of global manufacturing experience, including global divisional start-ups, new market development and extensive business growth management. Prior to joining Briggs & Stratton, he served as senior vice president & general manager for Oshkosh Specialty Vehicles, senior vice president & general manager for Healthtronics Corporation, and divisional president, Jacuzzi Asia & Middle East

Wajda holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Bio Engineering from DePaul University. In addition, he is a 6 Sigma Black Belt.
