Ferris IS 2500Z lineup touts Yanmar diesel engines

The Ferris IS 2500Z mid-mount zero-turn mower lineup for model year 2011 includes 3 units powered by Yanmar 3-cylinder, in-line diesel engines with cast-iron blocks — a 20-hp. model with a 52-inch iCD cutting system, a 24-hp. model with a 61-inch iCD cutting system, and a 24-hp. model with a 52-inch iCD cutting system. The patented 4-wheel IS independent suspension system dramatically increases operator comforts, mowing speed, quality of cut and productivity. With a 10-mph top speed, the IS 2500Z can mow up to 5 acres per hour (based on 80-percent efficiency). By absorbing bumps and vibration, the suspension system also helps extend mower life. Additionally, the mower deck features cast-iron greaseable spindles for longer life.
