Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics low-permeation Tygon tubing

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) provides critical connections solutions that are engineered to address EPA regulations trending toward high-ethanol-blend fuels. SGPPL’s solutions incorporate a new range of low-permeation Tygon® tubing that ensures optimum performance when used with the ethanol and nitrogen-enriched fuel blends.

E15 fuel, although environmentally friendly, can degrade fuel lines because of the higher ethanol content, resulting in higher permeation rates and an increased risk of fuel leaks. The new SGPPL tubing, however, features a multi-layer design with an inner layer that is 100-percent compatible with ethanol.

Equipment manufacturers are able to avoid both downtime in operations and costly repairs by choosing from a range of products that SGPPL has developed to meet the EPA regulations before such regulations have even gone into effect. The low-permeation Tygon tubing also conforms to recent standards issued by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
