Simplicity showcases new lawn tractor, zero turns

Simplicity ZT1500At GIE+EXPO 2011, Simplicity unveiled a new Regent lawn tractor and ZT1500 compact zero-turn mowers at the entry-level price points of $1,999 and $2,599, respectively.


The new Regent model boasts a 21-gross-hp. single-cylinder Briggs & Stratton Professional Series engine and 42-inch frame-mounted mowing deck with rear roller. The 42-inch-deep profile deck is made from 13-gauge steel and has aluminum arbor housings and greaseable spindles. Additionally, this lawn tractor offers many of the traditional high-value Regent features, including a tight 14-inch turning radius, foot-controlled acceleration with cruise control, convenient color-coded controls, pivoting cast-iron front axle, electric mower PTO, 12-gauge-steel frame, 7-position height-of-cut and a steel hood.


“Simplicity lawn and garden tractors are known for providing the finest cut in the industry,” said Harold Redman, president and senior vice president of the Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group, “and the new Regent is no exception. The new mower deck design promises optimum airflow and grass discharge for a great mowing experience.”


The ZT1500 compact zero-turn mower is available in two models: a 21-gross-hp. model with a Briggs & Stratton Professional Series single-cylinder engine and 42-inch twin-blade mowing deck and a 22-gross-hp. V-Twin model with a Briggs & Stratton Professional Series engine and 46-inch three-blade cutting deck (at a retail price of $2,999). Other features common to both models include steel mower decks with aluminum greaseable arbors, electric height-of-cut, a Hydro-Gear EZT transmission, electric PTO and 18-inch drive tires.


Simplicity now offers homeowners a choice of 15 different residential zero-turn models ranging from $2,499 to $10,599.
