The 550Z is available in 2 models, featuring a 25-gross-hp. Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf Series V-twin engine or a 24-gross-hp. Both models feature speeds up to 10 mph, a 5.5-gallon fuel tank, 20-inch drive tires and a roll-over protection system. “The genesis for the 550Z comes from years of experience building premium-quality commercial mowers under our Ferris and Snapper Pro brand names,” said Rob Poehlein, sr. director, L&G Business Units, Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group. “We’ve borrowed from that experience to bring this product line to market at incredibly attractive ‘prosumer’ price points.” The model featuring the Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf Series engine has a standard advertised price (SAP) of $4,999; the model featuring the Kawasaki FR730V engine has an SAP of $5,199.
