November 2020 parts department sales growth revealed
U.S. OPE dealerships on average saw gains in their parts department revenue during November, according to exclusive data for OPE Business magazine readers from Constellation Data Solutions, a division of Constellation Dealership Group. The latest data shows Same Store Sales results at U.S. outdoor power equipment dealerships for November 2020. Dealerships on average continued to see revenue gains in parts, service and wholegoods despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The composite data is pulled from dealerships that use Constellation’s Ideal and c-Systems and Charter DMS products. The Same Store Sales data compares November 2020 vs. November 2019 parts department revenue at 1,106 independent servicing OPE dealerships.
In the U.S., OPE dealership parts department revenues at Constellation DMS dealerships experienced an average increase of 18% during November.
Dealers in the South region experienced an average 22% increase in parts department revenue to lead the nation in November vs. November 2019, while the South had a 22% increase. Dealers in the West saw a 12% parts department revenue increase during November on average, while dealers in the Midwest on average experienced an 11% rise in parts department revenue during November vs. November 2019.
The percentage breakdown by dealerships that were up vs. down in parts sales for November is as follows:
West: 51% up; 49% down
Midwest: 53% up; 47% down
Northeast: 55% up; 45% down
South: 79% up; 21% down
USA: 64% up; 36% down
