New C23i mower from Walker
Walker Manufacturing has introduced its new C23i mower, the latest addition to the company’s lineup and its fastest collection mower.
The C23i features sheet and tube laser-cut parts, extensive robotic welding and modular assemblies, resulting in precise and repeatable components that offer long-lasting durability. With a 13.25-inch thru-shaft Grass Handling System (GHS) blower, Hydro-Gear transaxles and a Kohler Command Pro EFI engine (23 horsepower), the mower is built for efficiency, reliability and low maintenance, the company reports.
Additional features include:
- Electric clutch;
- Speed: approximately 8 mph;
- 4.7 gallon fuel tank; and
- Available with either 7- or 10-bushel catcher boxes (optional power dump).
In a video product preview of the new C23i, Tedd Walker, vice president engineering, states: “From the very beginning, the design and goals of the C23i were to create our highest-performing collection machine while also keep the price point as low as possible. To do this we had to be efficient with the design – reducing part count wherever possible, as well as utilizing production efficiencies like laser cutting most of the components on the machine, CNC bending, utilizing robotic welding wherever we can – as well as selecting the correct components for the machine….”
