Scag Goes Racing with NHRA Teams

As newly reported by the NHRA and Dragzine magazine, Scag is increasing its involvement in NHRA drag racing beyond just “official supplier” status. The OPE manfacturer is establishing a multi-car factory team. The newly formed Scag Racing make their debut burnouts during the opening event of the 2024 season, the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida, fielding a formidable three-car lineup.

Dragzine.com reports that Scag has taken ownership of the Maynard Ashley Racing and Maynard Wilkerson Racing teams, consolidating their resources for a collective impact. Under the banner of Scag Wilkerson Racing, the Scag Funny Car is set to hit the tracks with a renewed vigor. Meanwhile, the Scag Top Fuel car will be under the expert management of Justin Ashley, supported by the accomplished duo of Mike Green and Tommy DeLago.
