Agri-Fab plans 50th Anniversary celebration
Agri-Fab, Inc. will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. The company is planning activities and events throughout the year for customers, employees, and the community.
Founded in Sullivan, Illinois, in 1975, Agri-Fab manufactures lawn and garden solutions for the direct-to-consumer and commercial landscaping and lawn care markets. Today, Agri-Fab has offices, manufacturing/assembly and distribution locations in Sullivan and Decatur, Illinois. Local shareholders own the company and second- and third-generation family members continue to oversee day-to-day operations.
“This company began with a small group of like-minded people trying to build something that would support our local community,” said Ron Harshman, chairman of the board and founding member of Agri-Fab. “Our leadership is committed to the local manufacturing of the best lawn and garden products on the market, and our community stepped up with employees dedicated to delivering quality. The subsequent generations of leadership have carried forward those same ideals, and the company is stronger than any of us could have imagined 50 years ago.”
Over the past several years, Agri-Fab has added a second location in Decatur, Illinois, to expand its assembly and delivery capabilities, allowing products to reach the market sooner. Agri-Fab distributes products across the country through major retail outlets such as Lowe’s, Tractor Supply, Farm & Fleet, Rural King, and many others.
“The growth that Agri-Fab has seen over the past 50 years is truly remarkable,” said Deacon Patient, president of Agri-Fab. “Our leadership throughout the years has continually developed well-thought-out plans for expanding our product line, manufacturing capabilities, and go-to-market strategies. These efforts have provided our company with a solid foundation on which we will continue to grow, along with the ongoing ability to provide good-paying jobs to our employees and support the communities in which we operate.”
Fifty years in business and the expansion of facilities and products aren’t the only things Agri-Fab is celebrating. The company’s annual fundraiser to support local food banks and charities continues to grow, providing the local community with much-needed support to help those less fortunate.
Additionally, Agri-Fab Holding will continue to deliver meaningful benefits to all employees with the construction of a new daycare facility to replace the existing one. “We look forward to the new facility continuing to enhance our ability to offer unique opportunities in early care and education built on love, trust, and respect,” commented Mike Cohan, president of AF Holding Co.
