New Holland introduces WORKMASTER 35C and 40C compact tractors
New Holland has introduced the new WORKMASTER 35C and WORKMASTER 40C compact tractors, expanding its compact lineup with two models designed for property maintenance, landscaping and light agricultural work.
The tractors combine updated operator platform features, new attachment options and revised styling. Both models are powered by a 3-cylinder 1.9L engine and are available with either a three-range dual-pedal hydrostatic transmission or a 12×12 mechanical transmission with synchronized left-hand shuttle.
“The WORKMASTER 35C and 40C represent the next step in elevating our compact tractor lineup,” states Mike Sevick, compact tractor business manager, New Holland North America. “These affordable, yet highly capable tractors are built with thoughtful design enhancements that keep operators comfortable, confident and productive.”
Operator platform and design
According to the company, the tractors were developed using modeling software and North American operator data to guide the operator platform layout.
“Comfort was a key focus when we designed the operator’s platform,” Sevick says. “The result was a platform that feels natural and well-tailored to enable operators to work as long as they need without fatigue.”
The platform includes a semi-flat deck with a low transmission hump, rubber floor mat, substantial grab handles and a left-hand step. A vinyl seat with multiple adjustments, ergonomically positioned steering wheel and color-coded controls are standard.
“The WORKMASTER 35C and 40C are where economy meets elegance. They feature our signature Connective Flow styling, which includes a sculpted hood, sleek decals and all-new Dynamic Blue paint and silver rims,” Sevick says.
Attachments and hydraulic capability
New Holland also introduced the 250LC front loader and 270BC backhoe for the two models.
The 250LC loader features a joystick control with simultaneous lift and curl capability and a skid-steer quick-attach faceplate. An optional dealer-installed third-function kit is available.
“The dealer-installed 3rd function kit is a new addition to our loader offering that aligns with feedback we’ve heard from dealers and customers,” Sevick says.
The 270BC backhoe offers a maximum digging depth of 87 inches with a standard 16-inch bucket. It features a mounting system designed to improve under-tractor clearance and allow attachment and removal without removing the three-point hitch arms.
The tractors have a three-point hitch lift capacity of 2,067 pounds, which the company said represents a 14 percent increase over prior WORKMASTER compact models. Telescopic stabilizers are standard, and up to three rear remotes are optional.
Powertrain and additional features
Both models use a 3-cylinder 1.9L engine and a 12.6-gallon fuel tank. A single-piece metal flip-up hood provides access to routine service points. Tire options include R1 agricultural, R3 turf, R3+ hybrid and R4 industrial tires.
New Holland said the tractors include a limited warranty of 24 months or 750 hours of full coverage, plus an additional 48 months or 1,500 hours of powertrain protection. The models are factory-ready for telematics with a dealer-installed modem kit compatible with New Holland FieldOps.
