CASE introduces three new 3-ton mini excavators

CASE Construction Equipment has introduced three new D Series mini excavators in the 3-ton class: the CX30D, CX34D and CX38D.

The machines were previewed during the 2026 CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade show and are designed for use in confined work areas, featuring a zero-tailswing design that allows operation near structures, walls and other obstacles.

The new models feature an automotive-style cab with ergonomic controls, a suspension seat and visibility enhancements. The machines also include access panels and a tilting cab to facilitate maintenance.

Standard features vary by model. The CX38D includes a long arm with a thumb bracket, hydraulic auxiliary flow control and electronic throttle control with auto idle. The CX30D and CX38D also include an enhanced lighting package intended to improve visibility in low-light conditions. All three models equipped with a cab feature a two-piece roll-up front window.

The excavators are compatible with a range of attachments used for digging, trenching, material handling and vegetation management. The CX38D is available with an optional 6-way dozer blade for grading and backfilling applications.

The machines support attachment changes through one- and two-way auxiliary hydraulics and a second two-way auxiliary hydraulic circuit. An optional third hydraulic circuit and constant-flow circuit are available for additional attachment compatibility. All three models include a hydraulic pin grabber coupler provision as standard equipment.
