Hyundai adds medium-frame CTL to North American lineup
HD Construction Equipment Hyundai North America introduced the 71-gross-horsepower (53-kW) HT30 compact track loader, following the introduction late last year of the 115-gross-horsepower (86-kW) HT38 CTL.
The medium-frame Hyundai HT30 is designed for landscaping, residential contracting and municipal applications. It is available in three configurations: cab with high-flow hydraulics, cab with standard flow and canopy with standard flow.
The HT30 cab version has a rated operating capacity of 3,028 pounds (1,393 kg), while the canopy version has a rated operating capacity of 2,900 pounds (1,316 kg). All versions can lift to a pin height of 8 feet, 1 inch (2,464 mm). Operating weight is 11,141 pounds (5,053 kg) for cab versions and 10,448 pounds (4,739 kg) for the canopy version.
“The medium-frame HT30 gives customers across a range of applications the power, lifting capacity and versatility they need without buying more machine than their jobs require,” said Jason Taylor, Hyundai’s product manager for compact equipment.
Standard features include ride control, creep control, a hydraulic quick coupler, return-to-dig, lift-arm float and auto-self-leveling.
“These features increase productivity for newer and experienced operators alike,” he said.
The cab versions have a one-piece, pressurized ROPS/FOPS cab with torsion suspension, heat and air conditioning delivered through eight vents, a heated air-ride seat, Bluetooth and an 8-inch smart touch display.
“The operator is the most expensive ‘feature’ on the machine, and a comfortable operator is a more productive operator,” Taylor said.
The HT30 also includes four exterior LED lights, with two front and two rear. Cab versions include an escort light that remains on for 30 seconds after shutdown.
Daily service and routine maintenance points are accessible from the ground. The machine uses a PowerCore air filter and reversible fan. A tilt-up cooling module provides access to the cooling system for cleaning.
Hyundai offers a three-year, 3,000-hour warranty for the HT30.
The HT30 is compatible with attachments including buckets, brooms, grapples, augers, brush cutters, snow blowers and pushers, rakes and forks.
